A couple times a year we host a simple woodworking contest by establishing a project theme and a deadline — then we wait. Every time we do this, \u00a0the truth is I’m simply blown away and tongue-tied by the vast array of entries we get to see. It’s a delightful surprise to see the creativity and craftsmanship that folks pour into their projects.<\/p>\n

And you should see them too! Consider this your official invite to come on down to our store to browse through over 100 entries in our \u00a0latest contest for “Wall Art.” \u00a0In fact, voting is open to the public, so you’re encouraged to cast a vote for your favorite 5 entries – you’ll be helping us determine the winners of some very fine woodworking tools.<\/p>\n

This is going to be a cool event. I like to think of it as a woodworking art show. All the projects will be on display,\u00a0we\u2019re providing some hors d\u2019oeuvres and beverages, many of the builders (hopefully all!) will be there, plus it\u2019ll be your last chance to log a vote for your favorites \u2014 and then we\u2019ll announce the winners and pass out prizes.<\/p>\n

To clear the air,\u00a0there will be no vendors peddling drills or sandpaper\u00a0or any of that business. Instead, this event is about recognizing artwork and the people who build it. It\u2019s not everyday you get to see a collection of over 100 custom made pieces of woodwork under one roof. It\u2019s a unique event and I\u2019d like to keep it that way.<\/p>\n

I\u2019d be overjoyed to see you there.\u00a0In fact,\u00a0bring your friends and family if you can (and make them cast a vote!) We expect to announce the winners and start passing out prizes around\u00a06:15 pm<\/strong>, as it\u2019ll take some time for us to tally\u00a0up the votes.<\/p>\n

So\u00a0enjoy the hors d\u2019oeuvres and beverages we\u2019ll provide, peruse the projects, and chat with the other builders.<\/p>\n
