We were impressed by the 162 game-inspired project entries ranging from chess boards to shuffleboards on display. You all really brought your A-game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That said, there can only be 1 winner, and we entrusted the public to cast their vote. With over 350 votes, there was a clear winner!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A big thank you to everyone who came out to the show. Showing off your work and bringing in some music, food, and drinks is our favorite way to celebrate you!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Every year the projects seem to get better and the show gets bigger. Everything about this game board was executed to a T using walnut, myrtle, white oak, and expertly poured epoxy. The intricate puzzle piece design is the cake topper to tie everything together. <\/p>\n\n\n\nngg_shortcode_0_placeholder\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2nd Place &#8211; Family Game Box by Bill Raymond<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Bill takes a &#8220;<em>what do I want to build and then I figure out how to do it<\/em>&#8220;, and this box puts his problem-solving and technical skills on display. Using walnut, curly maple, hard maple, padauk, and lacewood, this project stood out from the competition. <\/p>\n\n\n\nngg_shortcode_1_placeholder\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3rd Place &#8211; Poker Briefcase &amp; Matching Purse by Jason Robinson<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>After notching a win in our previous <a href=\"https:\/\/www.woodworkerssource.com\/blog\/woodworking-projects\/see-the-winners-top-3-in-the-kitchen-woodworking-projects\/\">In The Kitchen contest<\/a>, another top 3 finish is nothing to scoff at. Jason continues to impress with outside-the-box designs and wonderful attention to detail.
