This event is all about showcasing the beauty of custom, handcrafted decorative home furnishings made by local Arizona woodworkers of all skill levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That&#8217;s why we give you $50 store credit when you enter a project. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We keep the event free, and we pay <em>you<\/em>. It&#8217;s crazy, but it&#8217;s what we do. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Yes Prizes, Too\ufeff<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>1st Prize: $500 store credit<\/li><li>2nd Prize: $300 store credit<\/li><li>3rd Prize: $100 store credit<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Yes, there&#8217;s an element of friendly competition. Visitors to the show will have a chance to vote for their favorite projects, and we&#8217;ll award some prizes to the most delightful projects by way of a public vote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"mce_21\" class=\"postheadline wp-block-heading\">Theme &#8220;Game Night&#8221;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The theme is somewhat abstract to encourage a wider variety of projects that interpret a theme and to inspire creativity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But here&#8217;s what we&#8217;re thinking: your project should be the kind of thing you&#8217;d expect to see at family game night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ok. So, yes, that might be a handcrafted game like a chess board, cornhole board, or some version of a thing with holes, pegs, puzzle pieces, pawns or points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But what <em>else<\/em> could it be? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I leave it in your hands. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"mce_24\" class=\"postheadline wp-block-heading\">Show + Awards<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>March 2, 2024, 8:00 am &#8211; 7:00 pm<\/strong><br><em>Woodworkers Source Tempe<br>645 W. So don\u2019t push it.<\/li><li>Deliver your project to any one of our Arizona locations on or before February 24, 2024<\/li><li>You grant us permission to use the pictures of your project in social media posts<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Do I Have To Buy Anything From Woodworkers Source?<\/strong><br>No.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Does My Project Have to Be New?<\/strong><br>No. <br><em>Tip: if you enter an old project, do what it takes to refresh it so that it makes the best impression. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Can I Enter More Than One Project?<\/strong><br>No. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Do I Keep My Project After The Contest?<\/strong><br>Yes! It&#8217;s your project. Please pick it up the night of the show, or the week after at the store you entered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>I&#8217;m Not Very Good at Woodworking<\/strong><br>Welcome to the quest! None of us think we&#8217;re any good anyway so you&#8217;re in good company. It&#8217;s a friendly competition, not a stiff one. Build something and enter it because all of the fun is in participating, not &#8220;showing off.&#8221; Consider this an opportunity to learn a little more about the craft, or to try something new.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What If I\u2019m Not in Arizona? Can I Still Enter?<\/strong><br>Can you deliver and pick up your project, or make arrangements to have someone do it on your behalf?
