That has something to do with our 40th anniversary. In 1978 our founder Keith went to a local hardwood dealer seeking help building a jewelry box for his wife Betty. The sales staff literally laughed him out of the shop for not knowing the basics.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The whole experience gave him the idea to start his own business &#8211; a different and better kind of retail experience for people just getting started in woodworking, or who just enjoy crafting beautiful things out of fine woods to make their home a warmer one.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This is our way of paying a tribute to our origin, and celebrating the art of woodworking!<\/p>\n<p>You don&#8217;t have to be an expert to enter. We just want to see what you come up with and spend a Saturday evening recognizing everyone&#8217;s hard work and their love of handcrafted woodwork.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Enter the contest! This contest is more or less for fun, so we simply gather votes from anyone who comes to view the projects.
