Each red oak turning square is surfaced on 2 sides, cut form kiln dried lumber, and ready to be turned or milled. Use these squares for making table legs, furniture spindles, any number of craft projects or turning projects. Discount for purchase of 5 or more squares, mix woods if you like.

Botanical Name: Quercus rubra
What's the wood like?
Straight grain with a coarse texture. Generally works and finished well but timbers from the Northern growing region will be more consistent in color and have a finer texture. Large open pores produce distinctive grain.

Light brown with a reddish tinge.
