The most desired of all varieties of mahogany - this is genuine Swietenia macrophylla from Central America. Superb, rich color and enjoyable working properties. Mahogany is a joy to turn, carve, rout, and finish. These squares in particular measure a full 2-3/8''x2-5/8'' and are 13'' long or slightly longer. They're ready to be put to work since they're kiln dried and cut smooth on all sides. Limited supply.

What's the wood like?
Ranks among the finest cabinet woods. Exceptionally stable and clear with a natural luster. Moderately coarse texture. Requires filling to achieve a class smooth surface but accepts virtually all finishes with ease. Widely praised for its response to hand tools, power tools, and all woodworking procedures.
