 What's the wood like?
Extremely popular with cabinetmakers. Cherry is easy to work, fine textured, strong and fairly durable. Highly rated in all working properties including wood bending and turning. Becomes darker and richer with age.  How's the color?
Reddish brown with a golden luster. Freshly cut cherry is often very pale, but the wood oxidizes to its famously favorable rich brown red in time.  Does it go by other names?

The product is excellent but the packaging was poor. The product arrived with a dent in one piece and a chip in the other. Both problems could have easily been prevented if they were wrapped with plastic like other items I've ordered.
