What's the wood like?
Extremely popular with cabinetmakers. Cherry is easy to work, fine textured, strong and fairly durable. Highly rated in all working properties including wood bending and turning. Becomes darker and richer with age.

How's the color?
Reddish brown with a golden luster. Freshly cut cherry is often very pale, but the wood oxidizes to its famously favorable rich brown red in time.

Great wood! Milling marks, not so much., 1.5.2012

My order arrived unbelievably fast. The packaging was in perfect shape and the wood inside was too. The wood appears to be very straight with good color and grain patterns. I am a little disappointed because three of the five pieces I received had rather deep milling marks on them. This may or not be a problem depending on how I actually wind up using them.
