White Ash is a decent turning wood. With the pale tan color (nearly white), you can either stain the wood for a darker appearance or simply top coat it with a clear finish. Ash does fine under both circumstances. Ash is hard and quite dense - these squares are going to make great table legs. All Ash squares are cut from kiln dried lumber and surfaced on all 4 sides. Thickness: 1-1/2'' (cut square) Widths: 1-1/2'' Lengths: 18'' (or slightly longer) Grade: Kiln dried, clear. See our page about Hardwood Grading for some details about common lumber grades and their definitions. |
If you like Ash you should try these, too: |
