A fine textured wood, rather lightweight yet durable. For the most part Tea Tree is easy to work though the silica content of the wood blunts cutters quickly.

The tree is reported to be capable of reaching heights of 100 feet and trunk diameters of 24". Boles are reported to be typically crooked and of poor form, which makes the tree undesirable for timber production.
