Samples are milled on all sides to the standard size of 1/2'' X 3'' X 6'', as determined by The International Wood Collectors Society, and include the shipping cost within the 48 U.S. Each one is labeled with the botanical and common names. Use these to test finishes and stains, to compare color and grain characteristics, etc.

Color:
Russett to reddish brown, often with dark stripes or streaks.
Characteristics:
Also called Brazilian Cherry. Hard, heavy, and tough. Grain is commonly interlocked with a medium coarse texture. Somewhat difficult to work due to its hardness and weight.
Typical Uses:
Furniture, cabinets, flooring.
