Samples are milled on all sides to the standard size of 1/2'' X 3'' X 6'', as determined by The International Wood Collectors Society, and include the shipping cost within the 48 U.S. Each one is labeled with the botanical and common names. Use these to test finishes and stains, to compare color and grain characteristics, etc.

Botanical Name:
Cabralea cangerana
Other Names:
Cangerana, Cajarana, Pau de santo, Cancharana, Canxarana, Congerana, Cedro-ra
Color:
The heartwood is described as often dull red or maroon, but may be lighter colored. Purplish markings are reported to be a common feature.
Characteristics:
Works as easily as walnut, and has a similar color tone but more consistent in color making it a pleasing wood for furniture.
