I haven't been much of a fan of hard maple. Just don't like the way it burns so easily when sawing and routering. But what the heck, my wife wanted a cabinet in the laundry room that matched the kitchen cabinets. Those are maple too, obviously. Woodworkers source sent me three packs of this stuff and I have to say it was really nice. Flat and clear. A little wane on a few pieces, though. No big deal. That's wood for you.

I PURCHASED 20 BF OF HARD COUNTRY MAPLE AND ENDED UP MAKING A KITCHEN CABINET TO SUPPLEMENT EXISTING MAPLE CABINETS. THE WOOD WORKS EASILY, IS EXTREMELY STABLE AND HARD, TAKES GLUE AND FINISH WELL AND IS DURABLE. ONE OF THE BOARDS HAD AN INTERESTING GRAIN PATTERN AND I USED THAT FOR THE RAISED PANEL DOOR. OVERALL, FOR THE PRICE, IT CAN'T BE BEAT. AS USUAL, THE SHIPMENT CONTAINED TOP GRADE BOARDS.
