Mild mannered and good looking: you can take this one home to mom. Madrone, while rare, has classic characteristics that make it a viable wood for your large furniture pieces -- it's dense hard and even-colored, similar to hard maple but without the difficulites with burning and chip out. The raw boards do have a pink appearance, and with a clear finish Madrone takes a even creamy tan color. Stock up on this wood while it's here. Thickness: 1-1/16'' thick, surfaced smooth two sides (5/4 S2S) Widths: 4''-10'' with the edges still rough. Straight line ripping on one edge is available as well (see below). Lengths: Up to 8' (longer available for local pick up or truck shipment) Grade: Select & Better.
