Guaruba Characteristics

This is another hard, durable wood with a peculiar grain. The texture is somewhat coarse, and you may experience modest splintering on the ends. The wood also accepts a smooth finish with little trouble and can be routed, planed, and sawn fairly easily.

What's the Tree Like?

The tree reaches a height of about 130 feet (40 m), with a trnk diameter of about 36 inches (90 cm). It is typically unbuttressed, and produces boles of good form that are clear of branches for 50 to 60 feet (15 to 18 m).
