Here's the idea: you'll get 3 pieces of hard maple (7/8" thick, 5"-6" wide, and 48" long) and one piece of beautiful curupay (13/16" thick, 5"-6" wide, and 48" long) for building your own cutting board with great looking contrasting woods. Both woods make fantastic choices for cutting boards because they're both hard, durable, tight-grained, and will hold up well to the rigors of kitchen work. Curupay shows off a nice dark red color that makes a striking contrast to the plain white maple. All boards will come surfaced smooth on two sides with one edge straight-line ripped. They're ready for you to rip into equal strips, cut to your desired length, then laminate them together in any pattern you like.
