woodworking characteristicsLyptus Characteristics

Lyptus compares favorably to maple in terms of density, strength and technical properties; arguably has similar appearance to that of cherry and/or mahogany. Lyptus, though, holds its own as a good furniture wood. Developed for quick harvesting, and grown on plantations in Brazil, Lyptus is marketed as an environmentally responsible timber since it's plantation grown.
